• Present proof of having driver’s training equivalent to Minnesota’s requirements of 30 hours classroom and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel
• Documentation of passing the road test
• Fill out application
• Parent/legal guardian signature
• Pay Driver’s License fee

Yes, bring a parent or legal guardian to the permit test. You must obtain the written consent of a parent, legal guardian, Department of Children and Families, or boarding school headmaster. Written consent must be given by signing the Driver's License, Learner's Permit, or ID Card application. If the person giving consent is NOT a parent, proper documentation of authority must be shown at the time of the permit test.

A vision test is required to obtain a Minnesota Driver’s License.
