A parent or guardian should accompany you if you are under 18 years old, so they can sign the application. Otherwise, a licensed driver that is at least 21 years old may accompany you, but your application has to be signed by your parent or guardian in front of a notary public
A vision test is required to obtain a Florida Learner’s Permit and Driver’s License
A physical exam is not required to obtain a Florida Driver’s License
A photograph will be taken at the Florida DMV office after you pass the written test
You will receive your learner’s permit once you pass the written exam. If you are 18 years old or younger, you have to wait at least 12 months before you are allowed to apply for the road test. If you are older than 18, you can apply for your driver’s license on the same day you receive your learner’s permit
